Purchasing Manchester United, according to Elon Musk.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, tweeted that he was "purchasing Manchester United."

The eccentric CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, tweeted on Tuesday that he was "purchasing" Manchester United as one of the most illustrious soccer clubs began their Premier League season in disarray.

In a series of tweets where he made political jokes, Musk made the statement. The Red Devils-related tweet then appeared.

Before Brentford and Manchester United's English Premier League soccer match at the Gtech Community Stadium in London on Saturday, August 13, 200, several Manchester United supporters hold up a placard in protest of the club's present owners.

Here are some pictures of Elon Musk on Twitter, tweeting in one sentence:

"Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome."

Uncertainty surrounds Musk's sincerity, but Manchester United definitely didn't need to add to the already hectic start to the 2022–23 season.

It is not clear and serious Elon, just wants to stir up riots and strife and gain more views on Twitter. Here is the proof that he lied when his company, Tesla, tweeted to him:

Earlier this month, Manchester United lost 2-1 to Brighton to begin the season. The next weekend, they were defeated 4-0 by Brentford. Despite having international stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, and Marcus Rashford on the team, they haven't been victorious in a Premier League match since May.

Since March, the team has not defeated Premier League opposition away from Old Trafford. Since 2013, the team hasn't finished first in the league.

Additionally, earlier on Tuesday, rumours claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo had been given permission to look for a new team while the transfer market was still open.

In response to the rumors, Ronaldo said in an Instagram post that the media was "spreading lies."

The group in charge of the team's ownership is Manchester United Plc. Joel and Avie Glazer share club chairmanship. The NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers are another team owned by the Glazer family.

Forbes estimates that Manchester United is worth about $4.6 billion. The Glazer family allegedly established a $4 billion asking price amid fan protests last year. In 2005, the family paid more than $956 million to purchase the club.
