Champions League: Manchester City defeats Real Madrid and advances to the championship game

Manchester City Vs Real Madrid / Semi-final 4-0

 On Wednesday, Manchester City defeated Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semifinal (4-0).  The most coveted European cup final pits the Citizens against Inter Milan on June 10.

Returning to the Champions League final is Manchester City. On May 17, the second leg of the most important European cup semi-final saw The Citizens defeat Real Madrid.

 A resounding victory (4-0; 5-1 overall for the two games) that gives Pep Guardiola's team a ticket to next June 10's competition final against Inter Milan.

a positive first half for City

 Real Madrid was outplayed by Manchester City the whole first half. Madrid residents nearly failed to project themselves into the opposition half of the field due to the pushing of the Citizens. The ball retention sequences and opportunities are connected by City. The Real Madrid goalie twice, in the 13th and 21st minutes, saved his club by making two significant saves on two headers from the enormous Norwegian forward Erling Haaland.

But in the 23rd, the Madrid goalie capitulated. After a group run, Kevin de Bruyne makes a stunning assist to locate Bernardo Silva in the penalty area. With an unstoppable flat foot, the Portuguese player exerts pressure and tricks Thibaut Courtois to start the scoring for City.

 Real labored and attempted to break through, like Vinicius Junior who attempted to pass Kyle Walker in the 32nd but was unable. In the 35th minute, Toni Kross' powerful drive was deflected just wide by Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

With the support of their home crowd, Manchester City increased their lead in the 37th minute when Bernardo Silva scored twice after Ilkay Gundogan's shot was blocked. Naturally, the Citizens are in the lead after one period, 2-0.

Real Madrid opened the second half with an opportunity thanks to a free kick from David Alaba. The Manchester City goalie blocks the Austrian's shot. However, even though Real seems to be performing better, it is insufficient to defeat the Citizens.

 Real Madrid and Manchester City fought for possession as the minutes went by. few opportunities on either side. Erling Haaland did not come close to fooling Courtois with a flat foot until the 73rd. However, the huge Norwegian's shot is blocked by the Belgian goalkeeper.

Three minutes later, in the 76th minute, a free kick from Kevin de Bruyne was stretched by Manuel Akanji and then deflected into his own goal by Eder Militao. Julian Alvarez scored Manchester City's fourth goal in extra time (90th + 1).

 The score will stop changing. Real Madrid, the reigning champion, is defeated by Pep Guardiola's team, who then advance to the Champions League final.
